Welcome to the 6th edition of Yadegari. After five blog entries, I have yet to feature a female artist. This is about to change this week as I am featuring ‘Makhloogh’ by the pop icon, Googoosh.

Googoosh is easily the biggest female artist in the entertainment business. In her prime, she released several successful albums and starred in a variety of movies. Her life, which includes several tumultuous marriages along with tremendous success in her professional career, allows comparison between Googoosh and the one and only, Marilyn Monroe.

Googoosh remains relatively active these days. Last year, she released her latest album ‘Hajme Sabz’. She also has been busy with her American Idol-like talent show called Googoosh Music Academy. The Academy recently released 'Ye Harfaee' which has been the most popular video in the last month.
