November 8, 2012 Adopt The Arts 'Save The Arts' Fundraiser Adopt The Arts 'Save The Arts' Fundraiser Last Thursday night, November 8th, over 250 guests attended the Adopt the Arts "Save the Arts" Fundraiser, featuring live performances by Christina Perri, America and Sussan Deyhim.  The cocktail party and live auction were a success, featuring heated bidding over a Slash signed guitar that went for $5k, and ZZ Top and Aerosmith guitars that went for $4k each.  The auction also featured art by photographers Neal Preston and Danish Saroee, and prints by Shepard Fairey, amongst many other unique items.  Three schools were adopted that night, including one by Asa Soltan Rahmati ("Shahs of Sunset").  They are still tallying the totals, but there was a significant amount raised that will help keep arts education in a number of LAUSD elementary schools for this next year. October 27, 2012 Siavash Performs At 'Loving The Silent Tears' Musical Siavash Performs At 'Loving The Silent Tears' Musical Siavash Shams was one of the few selected artists who performed at the new musical 'Loving The Silent Tears' on October 27th, 2012 at the Shrine Auditorium. It included Grammy winner Jody Watley and 2-time Grammy winner Jon Secada. Many people wrote raving reviews and the cast received many standing ovations. Siavash sang throughout the show but his main piece he sang in Farsi and English with award winning Israeli singer Liel Kolet and Lebanese singer Camille Abou. Siavash co-wrote that piece, called "Truth, Ego, Blessings", with Emmy winner Doug Katsaros. It was the hit of the show. In the end, the event gave $300,000 to three different charities.

Sepanta Soroush from Paris, France became this seasons Vocal Star Musician winner before a standing ovation at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, California on Saturday June 9th, 2012. Yara Amir Bahonar from Tehran, Iran became the 2012 Instrumental Star Musician winner.
