Hayedeh, the legendary diva of Persian music passed two decades ago on January 20th, 1990 at age of 47 from a heart attack. At her very last performance, the night before her passing, she told hundreds of audience in attendance: "Life is like an express train. I am going to the House of God. Who knows what will happen in the future. I may not be alive tomorrow...".

Hayedeh began to shine with performances in "Gol-haye Rangarang" program on Radio Iran, then went into the cabaret musical scene in Tehran and gradually blended into Persian pop music. After the 1979 revolution, Hayedeh left Iran for the United States where she continued her career till the last days of her life.

Even after 20 years absence from Persian music, she is still considered one of the most loved, renowned, and popular Persian singers and her songs and her voice are still to this date the favorite of millions of people all around the world.

She's sang over 150 songs including classics like "Shanehayat", "Gole Sangam", "Soghati", and "Shabe Eshgh".
