This season's American Idol is winding down and now the big battle next week is one that many Idol fans have been waiting for. The battle of the two Davids between David Archuleta and David Cook.

David Cook, the 25-year-old "rocker", and David Archuleta, the charming 17-year-old, are set to take the stage for the show's season-seven finale next week. Syesha Mercado, who was the last girl left in the competition, was voted off after Tuesday's competition.

Though music critics seem to appreciate more what Cook has to offer the industry, other people with TV sets have had Archuleta pegged to win it all since day one, be it because they love him or because he's marketable.

Cook does have emotion but shows it in a different way. His brother is fighting brain cancer & could die. That's some heavy stuff to deal with week after week especially when you're on national tv. I commend him & his devotion to his family & brother including having the AC on his guitar as a tribute of support.

Both are stars in the making and humble, but David Cook has a maturity to him & a uniqueness that inspires with his originality. His versions of several songs, including Billy Jean were totally brilliant!

I'm David Cook all the way!

Remember though that even when you don't win, you can still become a huge money maker. Clay Aiken didn't win but he's more popular than Ruben Studdard who did win. Many of the finalist have made names for themselves or used this opportunity to attain goals and dreams they never thought possible. I do wish them all luck! The entertainment business is tough!!!
