The veteran Iranian singer, Bahaar Gholaam-Hosseini (also known as Elaheh), passed away early in the morning on Wednesday. The highlight of her career was working for the Iranian music radio show, Golhaa, for 15 years. She has been usually considered as a singer of classical Persian songs. She immigrated to the US in the late 70's and settled in California. Starting in 1994, she provided cultural support for a political opposition group by holding some concerts. She ended her support in 2003. Elaheh came back home three months ago and ended her journey in the Paarciyaan Hospital in Tehran on August 15, 2007.
