How can I listen to Radio Javan using my computer?

Radio Javan currently uses two streams: 96k WMA (Windows Media Audio) and 128k MP3 streams. What this means to you is better sounding music, but it does require a high-speed internet connection, such as DSL or cable to function.

To listen to Radio Javan, just click Listen Now on the top of each page (shown below).

On the following page, you may choose to listen using either a WMA or an MP3 stream.

Minimum requirements to listen:

  • Windows Media Player (or WMA compatible player such as VLC) OR MP3 compatible player (such as iTunes)
  • High-speed Internet connection (DSL/Cable or higher)

If you have a high-speed connection and are still having issues connecting to our stream, please let us know.

Can I connect to Radio Javan from my mobile phone?

If you're phone is capable of playing back MP3 or WMA streams, then our music streams will work for you. Because many mobile phones are limited on what they can show on their web browser, then we recommend you to go straight to http://www.radiojavan.com/listen for listening to Radio Javan.

My stream keeps buffering. What am I doing wrong?

First, make sure that you are on a high-speed connection and not dialup. Then, make sure that your connection is not slow because of active downloads or other people in your network. You can check this by trying to listen to other online radio stations to see if the problem exists. If you are still having trouble, please contact us and we will help you further.

Can I listen to Radio Javan over FM radio or satellite radio?

Currently, Radio Javan is exclusively an Internet-based radio station, meaning that we are separate from traditional FM/AM broadcasts and satellite radio. What this means is that although your FM radio will not be able to tune into Radio Javan, we are always broadcasting great programming. Where there's internet access, there's Radio Javan.
