Sahar Biniaz is a 26 year old from Vancouver, B.C. who was named Miss Universe Canada 2012 at the pageant held in Toronto on May 19, 2012. She was born in India, raised in Iran, and is now a Canadian citizen living in Vancouver. She graduated with honors in performing arts from Stella Adler Academy in Los Angeles.

Among her other accomplishments, Sahar was 1st runner-up at the 2003 Miss Global Beauty Queen pageant, 2nd runner-up at the 2008 Miss Tourism Queen International pageant, and 1st runner-up at the 2008 Miss Universe Canada pageant. Sahar will now represent Canada at the 2012 Miss Universe competition to be held in mid-December.
