Blog / 'Persepolis' Enjoys Weekend U.S. Release
Marjane Satrapi's adapted animated movie, Persepolis, opened in U.S. theaters this past week. Released by Sony Classic Pictures, it is currently playing in 7 theaters, but averaging a high $13,014 per theater (box office source). The movie is a coming-of-age story of a precocious and outspoken young Iranian girl that begins during the Islamic Revolution.
The English version features voices by actor Sean Penn and rocker Iggy Pop. Persepolis has been nominated as Best Foreign Language Film (French) for the 2008 Goldon Globes. Source: IMDB |

i think the movie is really cute as i saw in the trailer.
